The most important feature of this version of Apple MacBook Pro is that it features additional secondary display as well as an integrated IF fingerprint scanner which is placed right above the top row of the keyboard.

The element of surprise had been lost owing to the pictures that made it to the outside world; however, some of the details of implementation had been omitted.

The senior vice president of marketing for the company, Phil Schiller stated that the new Apple MacBook Pro is the lightest and the slimmest model introduced by the company as yet.

The latest version

The latest version of Apple MacBook Pro is only 13 inches long. It is 16 percent thinner when compared to its previous specimen. The 15 inch model is 14 percent thinner. The weights are 3 pounds and 4 pounds respectively. They are available in two colors: gray and silver.

Display

The display of the devices is 67 percent more luminous than the previous version and features 25 percent more colors. The track pad of the new version is twice as big as the previous versions of the MacBook Pro models. The speakers offer at least twice the dynamic range as before.

Fingerprint scanner

The fingerprint scanner on the Apple MacBook is also used as the power button. It relies on a T1 chip that is supportive of Apple’s Secure Enclave Security trait.

The Touch Bar featured in the Apple MacBook Pro is a multi-touch retina display which changes with the application a person is using.
According to Mr. Schiller, the feature is extremely useful as well as intuitive.

Holding the function key will allow you to see the ‘F’ row of virtual keys which are not shown with the actual display.

The 15 inch version of Apple MacBook Pro features a quad core Intel Core i7 while the 13 inch version has an Intel Core i5 or i7. The previous version on MacBook Pro was introduced by the company in 2012.
