Homegrown Terrorists or Islamic Militants: Who are More Dangerous for the US?

For the United States, US homegrown terrorists are more dangerous than the Islamic militants, as the former could create lawlessness in the country.

Homegrown Terrorists or Islamic Militants: Who are More Dangerous for the US?

US homegrown terrorists:

In the pretext of the 9/11 tragedy, the US President George W. Bush who was in connivance with the neo-conservatives and the Zionist Jews, orchestrated the drama of global war on terror to obtain the illegitimate interests of Israel by targeting the Islamic countries.

As part of the preplanned strategy, America applied of pressure-diplomacy on the small countries like Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Yemen Pakistan etc., including almost all the Gulf states which decided to join Bush anti-terrorism war. And Bush also got the support of other Western and NATO countries.

Under the cover of phony global war on terror, US-led forces attacked Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria etc., and also targeted other Muslim countries like Yemen, including some African countries where America was indirectly involved.

The main purpose was to further secure the interests of the Zionist Jews and Israel. As part of the double game, if President Bush franchised Al-Qaeda, President Barack Obama franchised both Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group (Daesh, ISIS, ISIL). Theses militant outfits and their affiliated terrorists groups have killed thousands of Muslims, Christians and especially Americans in various regions of the world through target-killings, suicide attacks and bomb blasts.

Several times, these militant groups threatened that they would conduct terror attacks inside the US. They did so by conducting some minor attacks, but could not secede in major terror assaults which could result into massive causalities, as noted in some other countries like Pakistan, Iraq, Syria etc. and some African countries such as Somalia and Nigeria.

It is surprisingly to note that since the 9/11 tragedy, the US homegrown terrorists killed more persons in the United Sates than the Islamic militants.

In this respect, The New York Times wrote on June 24, 2015, “In the 14 years since Al Qaeda carried out attacks on New York and the Pentagon, extremists have regularly executed smaller lethal assaults in the United States…Since Sept. 11, 2001, nearly twice as many people have been killed by white supremacists, anti-government fanatics and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims: 48 have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim, including the recent mass killing in Charleston, S.C., compared with 26 by self-proclaimed jihadists…the slaying of nine African-Americans in a Charleston church l, with an avowed white supremacist charged with their murders, was a particularly savage case…but it is only the latest in a string of lethal attacks by people espousing racial hatred, hostility to government and theories such as those of the “sovereign citizen” movement, which denies the legitimacy of most statutory law.

The assaults have taken the lives of police officers, members of racial or religious minorities and random civilians…non-Muslim extremists have carried out 19 such attacks…. About 74 percent listed anti-government violence, while 39 percent listed “Al Qaeda-inspired…law enforcement agencies have told us the threat from Muslim extremists is not as great as the threat from right-wing extremists.”

The New York Times added, “If terrorism is defined as ideological violence, for instance, should an attacker who has merely ranted about religion, politics or race be considered a terrorist?… likewise, what about mass killings in which no ideological motive is evident, such as those at a Colorado movie theater and a Connecticut elementary school in 2012?

The criteria used by New America and most other research groups exclude such attacks, which have cost more lives than those clearly tied to ideology… in 2012, a neo-Nazi named Wade Michael Page entered a Sikh temple in Wisconsin and opened fire, killing six people… Mr. Page, who died at the scene, was a member of a white supremacist group called the Northern Hammerskins.”

However, in 2013, 2014, 2015 and in the recent months, American homegrown terrorists murdered several people. Analysts opine that in some cases, Islamic militants killed Americans, but, US law-enforcing agencies and FBI equated those terror attacks with the US homegrown terrorists in order to show that their personnel are very vigilant in providing security to their people.

Quite contrarily, at the same, time American security agencies, especially CIA in collaboration with the Israeli Mossad used ISIL militants to conduct false flag operations to accelerate the anti-Muslim war against terrorism to obtain the secret aims of Israel.

Everyone knows that CIA and Mossad are assisting ISIL in Syria to oust Assad’s government and against Russia. So, false flag operations to fulfill the Israeli designs have now become very common. Terror attacks in Paris, Brussels, Nice and Orlando might be cited as instance.

Particularly, false flag operation at the night club of Orlando was exposed. In this regard, on June 28, 2016, The New York Times wrote, “The mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., on June 12 included a curious phrase:  false flag…the victims in the shooting? They were “crisis actors” hired to promote the story as a pretext to impose tighter gun restrictions, the theory goes…the term false flag relates to naval warfare when a ship would fly a flag that would conceal its true identity as a way to lure an enemy closer. Today, it is commonly a shorthand for an act of deception…conspiracy theorists have applied the label to high-profile attacks, including the shootings by a husband and wife last year in San Bernardino, Calif, that killed 14…the phrase has even been used to doubt the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.”

It was further exposed when in an interview with Brazilian TV on June 14, 2016, the ex-wife of the Orlando shooter Omar Mateen Sitora Yusufiy disclosed that American FBI pressurized her to keep quiet about his homosexuality. Since the attack, Mateen has been dubbed an Islamic terrorist by the politicians, senior officials and commentators in the US, following reports he had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, as they wanted to downplay the personal and self-hating nature of the assault.

Regarding Orlando shooting, even President Obama stated on June 12, 2016, “Federal authorities had made no definitive judgement on the killer’s motivation, and whether he was inspired by or directed by Islamic State or other terrorist groups. Obama made it clear by elaborating, “Orlando shooting was the result of Mateen’s personal resentment in relation to the gay club.” In some other world, he also called him a crazy person.

No doubt, it is due to the double game of the US-led Western countries that ISIL has become the most dangerous outfit which has continued terror attacks in various continues, including the recent ones in Turkey, Iraq, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.

It is notable that more than 14 years have passed and the US-led NATO forces have been facing defeatism in Afghanistan. The ambush attacks on their military installations and personnel by the Afghan freedom fighters have continued, particularly, targeting American bases, check posts and armed persons.

Especially, the US military personnel have been demoralized, as they are well-aware of the facts that they have been sent abroad—Afghanistan, Syria and elsewhere in the world to maintain the domination of Israel, instead of protecting Americans and their national interests.

The cost of the endless war is rapidly increasing, adding to the plight of ordinary citizens of the US which is facing multi-faceted internal crises. These internal problems have created acute depression in the Americans. Therefore, unlike the past, homegrown terrorism has increased in the United States.

Here, it is of particular attention that despite strenuous efforts. President Barack Obama could not resolve the issue of gun control which is the real cause of brutal murder of the “Americans by the Americans”.

On June 21, this year, President Obama criticized the Senate for blocking four votes on gun control measures which were considered in the wake of the Orlando night club massacre.

In January 2016, after high-profile mass shootings, President Obama had urged the American people “to call on Congress to pass measures that would restrict access to guns and, hopefully, reduce gun violence.” But after multiple pleas, Congress has not acted, even after the grisly mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December 2012.

Obama said on January 5, 2016, “Every single year, more than 30,000 Americans have their lives cut short by guns…we are the only advanced country on Earth that sees this kind of mass violence erupt with this kind of frequency.”

In fact, the second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, adopted on December 15, 1791 as part of the first ten amendments, protects the right of the people to keep and bears arms. Even, Supreme Court of the US has not so far resolved the issue of gun-control.

Realistically speaking, the second Amendment to the Constitution is not written on stone. Constitution is made for the betterment of people and people are not made for the constitution. Therefore, the US Congress, Senate, Administration and the Supreme Court must cooperate with one another to settle this issue of gun-control. Otherwise, America’s homegrown terrorists will keep on killing the innocent persons and the personnel of the security forces or the policemen.

Meanwhile, instead of using all intelligence resources on the Islamic militants, American law-enforcing agencies, especially CIA and FBI must particularly pay a greater attention to the US-homegrown terrorists who could create endless unrest the United States.

I got master degrees in English and Journalism including diploma in English Learning and Teaching from the University of Punjab. I am a freelance writer and wrote a number of articles on various topics of international affairs, published in Pakistan’s English newspapers. Besides, I also wrote a book, “US vs Islamic, Invisible Balance of Power: Dangerous Shift in International Relations”, published by Ms. Ferozsons Pvt. Lahore in 2005. In this book, I have evolved a thesis that the non-state actors like Islamic militants are checking the world dominance of the US. However, I have condemned the old theories which support role of force and power in international affairs. Taking the ongoing war on terror as a conflict between the privileged and unprivileged status quo, I have suggested reforming the unequal world order. And I have favoured global peace, based upon idealism--which is possible by reconciling realism with idealism. Moreover, it is essential to combat terrorism by resolving various issues like Palestine, Kashmir etc., and by acting upon an exit strategy from Iraq and Afghanistan. Moreover, my future assessments like failure of military paradigm by the state actors in coping with the non-state actors, increase in US cost of war, rise of more terrorism, plane plot in UK and present international financial crisis have proved true. So, central thesis of the book remains valid today.

  • The root of terrorism is in the Middle East and it’s kept active by radical islamic muslims, both here and over there. To be safe, during the past seven years, more than a hundred million firearms have been purchased by Americans in preparation for both homegrown and immigrant nuts, felons and terrorists. Radical islam is only a tiny part of what frightens American citizens. Currently, the government is at the top of the list.
