Mark Zuckerberg Appears as a Surprise Guest at Samsung Galaxy S7 Launch Event

There was a surprise guest at the event to launch Samsung’s Galaxy S7 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain: Mark Zuckerberg. The appearance of the CEO of Facebook created a frenzy among the participants of the event.

However, Mark Zuckerberg was not at the event for promoting the latest product offering by Samsung, rather he had come to the event to shed light on the phenomenon of Virtual reality (VR). VR is currently regarded as the most popular social platforms in the coming days.

Facebook and Samsung have formed a partnership in order to provide Virtual Reality gadgets at affordable prices to customers. Mark Zuckerberg was attending Mobile World Congress in order to deliver an important address. At the unveiling event of Samsung Galaxy S7, he discussed the inevitable proliferation of Virtual Reality.

He said that very soon, everyone in the world will have the opportunity and the power to experience and share entire scenes in such a way as if they are right there in person. One would be able to sit between friends around a campfire or be able to watch a movie with colleagues inside a private theater.

Group meetings will be held at any destination around the world, at any time of choice. The possibilities are simply unlimited. In the near future, technology will offer all these experiences to consumers.

Facebook had also posted on its blog on February 21 that it was assembling a dedicated team for Virtual Reality interactions. This Facebook team will work in conjunction with the VR team of Samsung and Oculus in order to explore the future of social interactions in Virtual reality.

Zuckerberg said during the event for launching Samsung Galaxy S7 that the work on Virtual Reality was in initial stages. There are several hardware and software challenges that must be resolved, however, the progress was encouraging and the team at Facebook was really excited about VR technology which will allow people to get connected in novel ways. The company is offering a free Samsung Gear VR with Samsung Galaxy S7 in a flagship flogging deal.
