Samsung Galaxy S6 Vs iPhone 6: Which is the Better Choice?

No two phones could have come this close in the race for the better phones as Samsung Galaxy S6 vs iPhone 6. With both of them packed with high-end features, the choice could never have been harder. However breaking down and analyzing features may help you decide.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Vs iPhone 6

Design:

Both the phones are known for their aesthetic value, known for their attractive models. Both of them have made a departure from what their phones are generally known for. iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have finally gotten on to the bandwagon of phones with larger screens. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S6 has moved onto using better material for making their phones, matching it with Apple’s superior looking exteriors. In terms of design it is very hard to make a choice between these two phones.

Samsung galaxy S6 has introduced the use of aluminium giving the sleek look that iPhone always paraded.  With no detachable battery, the case is without a break and is comfortable to hold and use. The only shortcoming in Samsung Galaxy S6 is the unsightly protruding of the camera at the back. Though the phone still looks elegant as aimed for, this could be something they could have done away with. As for iPhone 6 it has lived up to the expectations of comfort of using it as it is known for.

Screen:

Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 5.1 inch screen and the iPhone 6 carries a slightly smaller 4.7 inch screen. You would enjoy a little more screen space for browsing and your media on Samsung Galaxy S6. Using the upgrade from Samsung Note 4, the resolution of Samsung Galaxy S6 is higher than that of iPhone 6.  When it comes to display technology, Samsung Galaxy S6 uses OLED which gives an enviable colour contrast. iPhone uses LCD giving it better colour accuracy and viewing angles. The newer technology introduced here is the 2K display in Samsung Galaxy S6, who’s impact is yet speculated.

Performance:

When it comes to performance both phones can be looked at as equals.  Samsung Galaxy S 6 edge has for the first time introduced DDR4 memory as opposed to the DDR3 been used so far and the one present in iPhone6.  Samsung Galaxy S 6 comes with 3GB RAM which is thrice of what is present in iPhone 6. However both are equally capable in performance, apart from these differences.

Storage:

Both the phones do not have micro SD card support. Samsung Galaxy S6 has dropped the option, the first Samsung phone to do so. iPhones on the other hand have always promoted speedy storage by never offering this option. Samsung Galaxy comes with 32, 64 and 128GB storage and iPhone 6 comes with 16, 64 and 128 GB storage. The winner of this round is for the user to pick.

Software:

As regards the software, the forever green debate of Android or iOS is the decider.
