The Los Angeles based model was only 34 years of age. Katie May has modeled for prestigious magazines like Sports Illustrated and Playboy. She was rushed to the hospital after she suffered a stroke on Monday. She remained in serious condition until she died.

Katie May died surrounded by her loved ones, family and friends. She was taken off life support on Thursday evening.

A statement from her brother Stephen May confirmed that Katie May died on Thursday. The statement further said that the passing of the model was being confirmed with a heavy heart. She was a daughter, a mother, a sister, a friend, an entrepreneur, a model and a star. Mr. May also stated that the lethal stroke that took Katie May’s life was caused by a carotid artery that had been blocked.

Katie May was a successful model and a star. GQ and Sports Illustrated called her ‘Queen of Snapchat’. She was complaining about pain in the neck. She has also sought treatment for this pain during the recent past.

A new website has also reported that the reason for the stroke was a blocked carotid artery. Katie May died due to this stroke.

Katie May was the mother of a seven year old daughter. Her family launched a page ‘GoFundMe’ in order to help support her.

The page states that anyone who had met the model is blessed by the goodness in her heart. Many people in the world had been inspired by her and thought of her as a guiding light.

The page requests for donation in order to support the model’s daughter. The objective of the family is to raise a reasonable amount of money for the living trust of her daughter so that she can be taken care of. The page also states that Katie’s daughter was her entire world and her fans should help her by offering donations.

Before Katie May died, she had an enormous following – around 2 million followers – on the social media. Katie would regularly share her photos with her fans on social media websites.
